Ingredients (makes 3 loaves)
Steps
  1. Set oven to 375°.
  2. Combine 3 cups flour and all yeast.
  3. In saucepan, heat water, oatmeal, molasses, shortening, and salt until warm and shortening is almost melted. Stir constantly
  4. Add saucepan mixture to flour mixture.
  5. Add the eggs. Beat slowly for 30 seconds, then beat on high speed for 3 minutes.
  6. Add rest of flour. Beat on low speed for 7 minutes.
  7. Shape into ball. Put in greased bowl and turn to coat with grease.
  8. Cover and let rise.
  9. Once risen, divide into 3 balls. Set each ball on its own pan.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes!
